Friday Favorites: Bacon, Basecamp, and Best Wishes

It’s Friday, and while there are some things we aren’t loving this week (like the fact that Charlotte temperatures reached the single digits this week…um, yeah, that’s pretty cold), you won’t see us sweating the small stuff (literally, it’s too cold to sweat).

Here are some of our very favorite things this Friday (Be sure to tweet your own faves to @cgrcreative!):

1. Bacon + Pizza = An early lunch break.

That’s right. In the battle to see which company can make the greasiest, most caloric, most insane pizza with the craziest toppings, Little Caesar’s might have just taken the cake (not the pizza cake, though, because that’s, like, a real thing). In an effort to one-up their competition and attract more customers to their already ridiculously Hot ‘n Ready pizzas, Little Caesar’s has decided to create a pizza with a revamped crustby wrapping it in 3.5 feet of bacon. This is not a drill; we repeat, this is not a drill.

What You Need to Know: It’s bacon crusted pizza. WHAT MORE COULD YOU POSSIBLY NEED TO KNOW?

2. The new Basecamp.

Okay, to some of you, this might seem a little anti-climactic, especially after we just talked about the Little Caesar’s bacon pizza. But for the CGR Creative team (namely Stephanie) our upgrade to the new Basecamp is a big deal. Basecamp is the best thing since sliced bread when it comes to communication and project management. Sorry in advance to our clients who haven’t seen the changed platform yet, but we promise you’ll love it.

What You Need to Know: It’s everything you dreamed a project management system could be…but better.

3. Email sign-offs that you should never use but totally need to read.

We somehow got on the topic of email sign-offs yesterday and started discussing the different ones we use/have seen used. Someone came across this link, with a full list of some pretty obscure email sign-offs, and before we knew it, we were all laughing so hard we were crying. We definitely won’t be using any of these with clients (don’t worry), but I have a feeling some of these will make an appearance in our internal communications. Work humor at its finest.

What You Need to Know: Take Care, Comb Your Hair.

4. Sometimes the cover is just better.

Meghan Trainor’s “All About That Bass” has nothing on this cover. Seriously, watch it, learn it, love it, let it change your life.

What You Need to Know: Watch the guy in the back.
