#CGRSays Takes On IESBO Charlotte
On September 19th, 2013, Julio Colmenares, the President and CEO of CGR Creative, joined Charlotte’s leading international business owners for the International Entrepreneurs and Small Business Owners (IESBO) workshop. Colmenares was approached by the Neighborhood and Business Services department of the City of Charlotte to not only attend the event, but also to host dual information sessions, speaking to the marketing needs of the group.
Centered on the importance of online visibility, Colmenares’ presentation featured the evolution of online presence and best practices, as well as the consumer mindset. From social media to today’s SEO dos and don’ts, the lecture was as interesting as it was informative. During the workshop, attendees were encouraged to tweet questions and comments, using the hashtag #CGRSays. With the use of social platforms, the creative group was able to create an open platform for participant discussion.
Colmenares has been referred to as the busiest man in Charlotte, NC, and with his list of active organizations, it’s easy to see why. An active supporter of the Charlotte community, he is the immediate Past-Chair of the Latin American Chamber of Commerce, Board Member of the Charlotte Chamber, and a member of the Business Advisory Committee of the City of Charlotte, CMS Cultural Competency Task Force, and CBI (Community Building Initiative)—Class I of Leaders Under 40, as well as the recipient of the 2011 Businessman of the Year— Excelente Business Awards and the 2012 Legacy Award of the Latin American Chamber of Commerce.
